I have been asked to review Beezid website.
Beezid is a nice looking clean website. They have used Nice colors for website(Something like swoopo).
The website is hosted on dedicated server and server is Located in Broomfield US. Their Domain is under proxy. The website is developed by using PHP language like many other websites. Their software looks unique as I have not seen any website using that software yet. So it looks like their custom made software with Great features.
Their response time is very fast and even Response size is very small which makes it a very fast website for bidding. you can bid in last seconds. You can try their Mega view to list all of their auctions at one page. But I suggest not to use that when you are bidding. Reason is , more auctions on a webpage will increase page response size so it will be slow to bid.
I like their Drag Drop function to rearrange auctions. using that feature you can arrange your favorite auctions in line so that you don’t have to look for them on auction page.
They have implemented SSL on pages where it is required which is good. you can relax as your data will be encrypted before it is passed to server. so even using network sniffers, it will be hard to check what information you are passing to server.
They have nice variety of auctions. Overall website is good and worth trying. there are couple of suggestions to Beezid..
1. If they could implement Live chat(shoutbox) on each auction so that user can communicate with each other, that will be great. users will feel safe that they are not bidding against Auto Bidders.
2. Show who is online on public pages with GEO information.
These features should be there on all auction websites.
If you have tried that website you can share your experience in our forum.

The reason that auction sites do not have a chat feature is to avoid collusion.

Well that might be your computer or internet connection. If you could provide solid evidence of what you are claiming that would be cool. I dont think just because you did not win will make a website scam.

OK i am(was) a user of the beezid site.
At first glance the site looks legit. When they have hundreds of bids on items at 60 cents to 90 cents per bid the income should be WAY greater then the outgoing. The site has no need to make fake bids or bots bids since the number of bids should WAY outweight the cost of the item even based on 60 cents per bid.
Which is why I thought I could work out a system to try and win.
Beezid has autobid functions you can use and something they call a sniper.
The way it works is you give the price range you want to start you auto bidding at and the number of bids you wish to place. Now the sniper is a seperate auto function that kicks in when the timer is down to one second and will place your “sniper” bid in to keep the auction going so long as the price hasnt reached you minimum price you set in the autobidding.
For example. I place my auto bid starting at 5.55 to 6.93 with 18 bids available.
The i put in 15 sniper bids.
Much to my dismay the auction ends at 3.28
see the auction here —> http://www.beezid.com/auctions/29531
I was monitoring the auction and it only placed 7 of my sniper bids. OK WTF???
Of course i got back 26 bids but this goes totally against what they claim the system will do. Maybe a software glitch but none the less… How can you create a strategy when things dont work as they should.
Not to mentioned I spend much time watching auctions to create a strategy and notice a user “jena50″ who placed about 260 bid to win a $100 walmart gift card? how does that make sense. Plus Ive noticed this user win several auction nearing 1000 bids. Seems very suspect unless they have alot of time and money at thier expense.
It’s a shame because the site and idea is a goldmine if legit and could be a bit fun if you develope a strategy and understand how the auctions work. Yes, its not ebay and just becasue you click right before the end doesnt mean you win. You have to be the last bidder and no one else bid within a 20 or 30 second window.
I have requested they refund the bit of money ive spend on the site. Approx $50

I figured out a similar system to Mike’s and ran up against the same problem. The sniper only works about 50% of the time. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. A support email I sent in about this has gone totally unanswered. However, my system did work to a certain extent and I was able to win 3 auctions with minimal outlay (I came out ahead), but my main issue is with the shipping time and total lack of communication. I’ve won 3 gift cards so far: $50 MasterCard, $75 Toys-R-Us card and a $50 Lowe’s card, but that was 2 weeks ago and no word as to when those will arrive and no response to my support requests either. So until I actually receive my winnings, they ain’t gettin’ any more of my money, that’s for sure!

I found another site that looks and seems to be listing the same items at auction. Quibids.com. I imagine it is a ripoff too. Sorry for people who have lost money at these places but upon finding many reports such as these. I have done my research and will not be using these sites, I suggest others do the same.

Mike I agree with a few suspect bidder’s. One today bid 346 bids to win a 200 bid pack. Drove the price way up. Then on the next bid pack was auto bidding like crazy again. Anyway a noted a few names and when i see them bid I don’t.

Update on my previous post … it so happened that on the same day I made that post, I got a notification that beezid is having a contest whereby you can win a prize by making a post about your experiences with beezid (such as this one) and then sending in the link where you made your post. Of course I couldn’t resist and sent in the link to this page wondering if I’d get a response, ya know, since they’re looking for positive feedback, not negative. And boy howdy, did I get some action and reaction! First, I got my hand slapped for not waiting the full “2 to 3 weeks to receive my item as stated on the website” (it had been over 2 weeks when I made my post). Then, the next thing I know, I’m getting emails about my support request being escalated, then another email about my winnings being mailed out the very next day. Thing is, they mailed them to me all together in one envelope and instead of getting just one card in the designated amount, I got several gift cards that made up the total amount (i.e., two $25 cards for the $50 gift card, a $25 and a $50 for the $75 gift card, etc.). Since they were separate auctions won on separate days but were mailed all together, somehow I doubt that I would have received them like that, that quickly, if I hadn’t made this post and told them about it for their contest. Quite frankly, if I hadn’t made that post and complained, I would probably still be waiting for my winnings to arrive — but I guess I can’t complain too much, at least I (finally) got them. It would be very interesting to hear from someone else who’s won items how quickly/slowly they got their winnings sent to them. Their site is so busy and popular now though that I’m going to give it a rest and wait for things to die down before I try my luck there again, there’s waaaay too much crazy bidding going on over there for the time being.

The features of the site may be good but the concept of bidding is quite similar to other penny auction sites. I have come to know about a new site whose concept is very different from others. The site has not been launched yet, but coming soon. The more the bidder, the less is price. Every bidder will be winner here. You need to buy time not the bids. If you can bid in 1 minute you have to pay only for 1 minute and the time left after bidding will be credited on your next purchase. It’s really good. It sounds very interesting.

beezid is totally fake. They obviously use internal bots to automatically up the price. Why else would the same person make bids in excess of the cost of the item? This is just legalized gambling, where the odds are not in your favor and there is no state gaming commission to make sure you are not getting cheated. Save your money and go to vegas or atlantic city, at least you can get .99 cent shrimp cocktails and free drinks.

Scam alert, attention, any website that uses greed, to allegedly snare unsuspecting bidders then take their money and in return they receive nothing is by definition allegedly a scam, since this company is located outside the US, there is little or nothing you can do.
So if you try this out, know you will most likely end up with nothing but an empty bank account.

It is great… for the owners. It is a rip-off for the users. Allow me to explain: You purchase bid “tokens” that enable you to place bids on items. :Each bid raises the cost of the item by a penny. You may indeed be able to purchase an item for pennies on the dollar… IF your timing is right and all other bidders have exhausted their bid tokens or given up. How does this website make money selling items for pennies on the dollar? Simple… you don’t purchase the tokens for $.01 each… they cost a lot more than that, even if you purchase in bulk. So if they get, say, 1,000 bids ($10.00) on an item that has an; MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price) of $100 and that 1,000th bid wins the item, then it looks like a great deal for the winner, Hey! A $100 item for $10.00 !! But understand that this means there were at leat 1,000 tokens purchased by consumers for the “priviledge” of bidding on this item. At the current MINIMUM price of $.60 per bid token (if bought in bulk, at the time of this review) that means that the website owners made a nice, tidy profit. 1,000 bids x $.60 per bid token = $600.00. Yes, SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS minimum for an item with an MSRP of $100.00… which they probably were able to purchase in bulk for $50.00. Since the bidder has to pay the bid price for the item, let’s do the math: Cost = $50 plus the fractional cost of doing business (payroll, bandwidth, servers, etc.). For the sake of argument, let’s say their fractional cost is $1 per auction, though it is probably far less. So their cost is $51. The item sold for $10.00 so they will get direct payment from the buyer, thus the item then cost them $41.00 (the buyer pays shipping). The profit? Well, they sold a MINIMUM of $600 in tokens, so… $600.00 – $41.00 means they made a profit of $559.00. Not too bad for a few minutes of work. So the owners of the website are the winners. Does that make everyone else a loser? Well, only one person won the item, and maybe they only spent one token ($.60) to win it. But that means that in our example that 999 tokens were spent NOT getting anything. You only come out ahead if the total amount of tokens you purchase is less than you would have spent on the item in a store. You decide.

I have had a very similar experience, however I did purchase $120.00 (bored silly) and ran through them really quickly – should have sat back & watched. So, I bought more ($40) – I won nothing – except some more “bids”. Complained because 1 item was “autobeezid” and I posted a “bid” – I should have won – it came out of my “account”. It’s just a farce of an auction site- I wish someone would review them. If I had known they were not an American site- I would not have ever gotten on. I am sending them an e-mail today requesting part of my money back – if not ALL or I will continue to “Post” my dealings with them. I found it kind of “fishy” that the only “item” I won was more bids….All for $160 – WASTE OF TIME & MONEY. SCAM…..

So…..this is a site that will sell you “bids” for $.40-$.90 cents apiece. NOW, you can “bid” on items that increase a penny per bid. Hmmmm. So, if you get into a bidding war, you can spend $40 to $90 dollars on a one dollar increase? Thanks, but no thanks. I have a bridge I’d like to sell you….
